How to Manage Project: Collaborative Pads in Odoo 13
In Odoo v13, Project Management Module is a fast user interface designed for modern project management and manages tasks for customer projects as well as our support issues in real time, agile, and flexible way. Project Management Module in Odoo v13 gives you a flexible workflow which helps you to plan and organize tasks, analyze time plans, assign tasks to prioritize tasks, structure your projects into different invoicing and managing contracts.
Whenever you take up any project, you will find that a single project will contain several tasks, and most of these tasks will be of group work by nature. So it is very essential to provide a real-time collaborative pad in order to work as a group. The users contributing to the same content shall be benefited in large through this kind of option.
There are various project management and collaboration tools to help track projects and teams. There are project boards, collaborative to-do lists, real-time communication tools, workspaces, and project management platforms.
First of all, you can install the Project apps in your instance.
Go to Project -> Configuration -> Setting and tick the checkbox of Collaborative Pads then click on the Save button.
Now the feature will be made available under the project option.
Now you can create a new project or edit the existing project and tick the checkbox of collaborative pads. The users can only see the project at the same time the privacy is set as “on invitation only”. Now click on the Save button to create the task for your project.
The collaborative pad provides various standard features like
~To Set Authorship Color:
Now you can set their own color and name. Post setting the desired color, every writes up by the user will be displayed in that chosen color, making it easy for other users to understand its authorship.
Share and embed the pad
In order to share this pad and date of creation in the pad, Odoo provides an option called share and embed. The link and embed URL will be shown by default.
The read-only option restricts the shared pad from any sort of editing.

In the collaborative pad this field is mainly used for changing the settings. It provides the settings for font type, language, etc.
Various options displayed in Setting tab like chat always on screen, show chat and users, authorship colors, line numbers, read content from right to left, etc.
The time slider is used to convert the writing into a video. It is the same as a video player. It has a two button like play and a pause button.
Import and Export:
Import and Export is used for importing and exporting the data in the collaborative pad.
