Odoo V12 Quality Check
Quality control is the set of measures and procedures to follow in order to ensure that the quality of a product is maintained and improved against a set of benchmarks and that any errors encountered are either eliminated or reduced. Quality control relies on testing of products, as product inspection gives a clearer picture of the quality of the end product. The Quality application allows you to define quality control points, check inventory after and during production.
First of all, you have to install that Quality module in your instance, after installing the module you can check the quality of the product.
Odoo defines Quality Control is three types- Control Points, Quality Checks and Quality Alerts. Quality checks and alerts are fully integrated with your manufacturing and inventory operations.
Control Point: Quality Control point defines quality control plans to trigger quality checks at specific inventory operations or manufacturing operations.
Quality Alerts: Quality alerts in Odoo’s clean kanban interface. Drag and drop alert to report progress and use visual indicators to focus on critical alerts. Use tags to categorize quality alerts and create rules to automate alerts or actions. Categorize by addressee by the requestor.
Quality Checks: Quality checks in Odoo facilitates for easy checking and statistical process control. This feature enables an entire quality check process for a warehouse.
Now you can create a Quality Team
Go to Quality -> Configuration -> Quality Teams and click on create button.
At that time you can fill the following detail: Name and Email Alias. and click on the SAVE button.
You can view the Overall status and work summary of an individual quality team in the Quality Overview.
Now Lets’ see how to set up quality Control points in the quality application.
Go to Quality-> Quality Control-> Control Points and click on create button.
Now you can create a new control point and fill in the following details: Title, Product name, Product variant, Operation, Contol type, Type, Team, Responsible and click on the Save button.
Now you can create a sales order for the corresponding item and fill in the detail of the following field like Customer name, Invoice Address, Delivery Address, Validity, Payment terms, Delivery method. At that time click on order lines button and add the product, description, Ordered Qty, Unit price, Taxes, Subtotal, etc.
Now click on the Delivery button.
After clicking on the delivery button, you can view Quality Checks Button and quality Alert Button. Now click on Quality Checks button.
After clicking on the Quality check button then a new window will appear with the product name Also, there comes two option Pass and Fail.
Now you can check the status of Quality check:
Go to Quality-> Quality Controls -> Quality Checks
Whenever a product is shown damage or mistake, mark it as failed. then, Quality Alert button will be activated. Quality Alert directly informs the Quality Team.
Now you can create a Quality alert for Quality team and fill the following details like Title, product, product variant, Lot, Team, responsible, tags, Root cause, Priority.
Go to Quality -> Quality Control -> Quality Alert
Now you can view all detail of Quality Alerts will be shown in the overview of each Quality Team.
Now Quality Alerts will be displayed in various stages based on the current status of the alert.
